Digital Art Design and Typography

To create a typographical art piece that demonstrates the characteristics and personality of a famous individual. Neil Peart was chosen for this project as a tribute to the late drummer and my personal love of his work.

Careful research was conducted to learn the characteristics of Neil Peart as a person and as a musician. Next, type research was conducted to determine the best type choice to use to match the nature of this project. The Bodoni typeface was chosen based on its scholarly appearance as Neail was known as the professor due to his studious nature. Finally, a quality image was selected and moved into Adobe Illustrator. This image was image traced and then a variety of words was applied to the image to create contrast and depth.
