Pasta Amore
Pasta Amore is a family-focused Italian restaurant that “combines the cooking traditions and ingredients of Italy with creativity while providing a modern twist on timeless classics.” The approach of Pasta Amore is to develop its brand through understanding both culture and consumer insights. Therefore, Pasta Amore aims to provide busy families with quality food options and a friendly atmosphere.
Goal
To create three branded print materials with a strong brand connection for marketing purposes. These pieces were to be designed based on current branding specs and goals and were to reflect the brand’s mission and vision.
Approach
Careful research around current market trends was conducted so that an industry-standard design could be drafted. Each draft was developed with the client and brand goals in mind. The project was broken down into segments so that each piece could be developed with client feedback to maintain brand consistency throughout and to maintain focus throughout the development of the project.
Results
Three consistently branded print pieces to help create a visual image that displays the brand’s mission and vision. My design choices aimed to keep a classic feel while tying in a bit of modern elegance through the use of lines and imagery. Predetermined font choices were selected and arranged in a way to create a hierarchy to draw the viewer’s attention to the desired areas within the design layout. The challenge with this project was the amount of type required to adequately describe menu items to help viewers easily make a selection. It was important not to overcrowd text as this would have made the design flow difficult to follow and understand. However, with my type design choices and layout techniques made this project come together clearly and concisely.
